Not sure if this is a banning issue or not but I noticed that members of the clan [NEWB] do a lot of team stacking. Today it was six of the on one team, granted I happened to be on that team as well it was a slaughter. They managed 5 of the top 6 spots on the score chart.

It's not against the rules in the slightest. In fact, WW sometimes all join the same team. Granted, sometimes there's too many of us to all go on one team, but we try.

It's just part of the game.

I've seen that before and that Team NEWB just stop by the WW servers and raid it on occasion. I get the impression they are on GMT time as some are young yet playing during school hours, I figure European. I personally don't see a problem with it as I'm sure we could easily do the same thing at any time on our own servers or someone else's.

i'll admit i'm guilty of being involved heavily with team stacking but when i take part in team stacking, i pick guns that will minimze kills for me. the reason i join the stacked side has to do with the fact i'm a very one dimensional player and an inconsistent one at that, so i don't want to be bringing the team down when they have the chance to win it. however, i do avoid stacking if i think a balance can be achieved if i join the 'lesser' team, so to speak. Wolfie and Desert were one of the few people that addressed this issue and actively worked to balance things out, but unluckily for us, they have been a hard sight lately.

I must have been confused about this being ok. But considering this is the first line from the post on joining WW somebody might want to edit it in light of the above responses.

Quote:
As a /WW/ member you will be held MORE accountable than other players when it comes to your actions. We DO NOT allow: hacking, excessive swearing, boasting, racial slurs, team stacking or "calling yourself an Admin" on the server. All of these will get you kicked off the server and out of the clan.

I really enjoy playing on Mikey's servers, this is where I have the most fun and where I spend most of my time playing. I can say as a lone/non-clan affiliated player that being on the receiving end of a stacked team, well it blows plain and simple. It sucks the fun right out of it and I usually don't hang around much longer after it happens. I try to be a good and fair player, I report abuses regularly on here so I thought that I would just give you all a heads up.

Thanks

Ok Here are my thoughts on this subject. Team Stacking SUCKS. I dont think it should be allowed. Yes I know that WW members do this, including the member who wrote "it will get you kicked out of the clan."

Why do I think it sucks? Because I have played with a clan that did this and it was horrible. I would kill one of their members and another would flank around me and kill me. You see they are all on their teamspeak or xfire and are giving information where the other team is. Its almost like a legal wallhack. So really it has nothing to do with not being good enough to play against the clan. You are screwed no matter what when another clan stacks up.

Teamstacking should only be allowed when 2 clans are going against eachother.

It would be my vote to have Mikey turn on Forced Auto Assign. It isnt like the old days where you wanted the mp44 so you would have to go German.

what is forced auto assign? is it like if you get auto-balanced, then you can't switch back? my gripe with auto-balance is that it seems to only balance out the number of players on each team. at this one time, the auto-balancing switched me to the winning team even though i was getting the best score on the losing team.

also, sometimes it is very hard to quantify "stackness" of a team. some players play like pros on some maps and play like noobs on others. in addition, auto-balance can cause a player to struggle even if he/she was having a good game up till that point. i'm not really defending team stacking because i've played some crap games where i had to face multiple top-tier guys and i was the only guy with positive score on my team. i'm just not sure how we could enforce rules about team stacking.

One question though about that...isn't that type of team coordination exactly what Team Deathmatch is all about? Working as a team to take out the other team? I mean whether it is in small squads, by flank, or by position, it kind of sounds exactly what teamwork is all about in order to win. Technically I believe that is true tactical warfare at its best. Being on the receiving in does suck, majorly, but with team chat, the same type of coordination could occur if planned properly.

I'm guessing, only guessing, that we have gotten so used to playing as individuals in TDM, that we forgot that we can coordinate as a team or as groups from time to time in order to run up the stats. I dunno, maybe I'm looking at it all wrong.

Plain and simple it chases new peolpe away from server I have seen it over and over and been through it myself. I always leave when this happens.
This would be ok if there were sufficient players from each clan on each team. otherwise I leave.

i may be wrong, but i think we seriously outnumber EM guys so it would be very unfair against them wink

P.S: i have yet to see more than one of these NEWB guys on at the same time. i guess it's because, like Effin said, they are in different time zone. hmm, something to look out for in the future i guess.

When I've seen them raid Server 1, it's usually about 1-3 pm ET. With folks at either work or in school, I figure they are on GMT and either European or Aussies.
